Movie Mob is Coming!

The first Movie Mob (www.moviemob.sg) is returning to Singapore in May 2010.
This bi-monthly event to be run for 6 months (or more) was created initially just for fun to enable friends to gather and have an outdoor movie experience.
However it has taken a life on it’s own with plans to run it at interesting and different locations throughout Singapore with the movie title and location kept secret until the last possible minute. The potential for this event is almost limitless and it is currently being spawned into other variations as we speak.
The cost to run the event is minimal and we’ve even developed our own unique low power FM transmission system to broadcast the soundtrack for the movie to the cars. Many firsts in Singapore for this event.
As a means to promote the Epson brand, what better tie-in to show how easy it is to set up their projectors executed in an underground hit and run style of a MOVIE MOB.
Is My Job At Risk?
2009 started on a downward note and Ape being ape, we decided to do a community project that allows people from around the world to fill in a short 30 question quiz to analyse their risk profile. It was supposed to be a little tongue in cheek (but scientifically calibrated) to lift up the spirit of workers worldwide and give some encouragement to those fearing for their jobs.
Doom and gloom no more!
This new Intellectual Property (IP) project was developed as a microsite quietly together with Monster.com as a means to build up their brand and steer highly targeted viewers to their website. From Ape’s point of view, it was just an idea that we could push out in 2 weeks and get over 250,000 click through traffic for our sponsors.
With no additional publicity or online advertising, the site’s popularity grew purely through word of mouth.
How much will an online advertising or search engine marketing campaign cost to get highly targeted 250,00 clicks through users? $100,000 or more….. this cost a fraction of that.
TO DO Art Installation for 3M

What do you do when you have Post-it pads? Well you write your multitude of TO DOs and stick them up. That is the inspiration for this Art Installation held at the Cathy. Cost effective and to the point, just what advertising should be like.
Engaging storefront display?

What do you do when you have a limited budget, lots of 3M Post-it pads to sell and a store display to use?
Well you shout the brand by using it creatively to “design” the store display. Part 2 of a series of displays, Ape developed the concept of a legacy pac-man game on a store front and encouraged people to stop and play the game to win what else but a Nintendo Wii.
How do we see this as being a good idea? Well, it was easy and cheap to execute, it stopped traffic, it enhanced the client’s brand (3M) and it allowed for interaction. Something that traditional advertising fails to achieve.
Monkey Business

Everybody likes a good bargain every once in a while, so why not open our own little flea market in our retail space. That was the genesis for this one week of crazy selling and buying.
